Your pension plan doesn't mature on your 60th birthday. You can draw your pension at any age from 55 to 75.

You can take 1/4 of the fund as a tax free lump sum.

Think VERY carefully before taking an annuity for income. If you decide you want to take an annuity shop around, you're entitled to do so. To a certain extent you can play different companies off against each other.
Annuity rates are criminally low at present. You might be better off using what is called drawdown.
