A person would need to have more information, including your gross income from all source, family size, state where you reside, etc.

You've posted this in the Canada section. Here is the Canadian answer.

1800 per month would come to about $21,600 per year.

At that level of income, you should be exempt from Federal Income tax. All provinces have different rates of income tax. Some will tax you, and others won't. You're less likely to pay provincial income tax if you live in one of the territories, or in any province west of Ontario. You will still be required to pay premiums for Employment Insurance and Canada Pension.

At that level of income you would qualify for the full amount for the Child Tax Benefits (CCTB). The base Federal amount for one child is about $305 per month.

You would also qualify for quarterly GST/HST Credit payments. The quarterly amount is $167.25 for a single parent with one child.

The CCTB and GST/HST Credit are Federally funded programs. Some provinces add supplemental amounts to these programs. Each province has different programs in place for rental assistance, prescription drug programs, day care subsidies, etc. A social worker would be able to provide advice, even if you don't qualify for social assistance.

Sparky is correct, although he forgot to mention the premium for Ontario Health Insurance Plan
(OHIP) which everyone must pay.

My guess, you should recieve all tax credits available for low-income earners. That includes GST/HST credits, Child Tax credit, you can even claim a transportation credit if you take the bus & keep your bus passes.
