Default is $10,000 a lot of money

I have a little more than that in my savings right now. I'm 21. No debt and pay low rent. What should I invest in? Should I keep saving for an apartment? New car? Ideas?! Thanks

It is not very much money. No.

However, It is very nice to have 10,000 in your "rainy day" fund, so I think you should just keep it in your savings just in case something disastrous happens, like you get fired and takes you a while to find a new job.

The question you should be asking is what do you NEED to save for?

"Should I keep saving for an apartment?"

so you're 21 but still living at home? $10000 will only last one year in an $800/mo apartment.

it depends on where you live. If you are in USA, its not a big money. If you are in India or any African country, it is a quite big amount. You better save for an apartment.
