Default What is the best investment option for a young Filipino professional?

I have savings but have very little background in investments. I've tried to research about it in the Net, and have heard through friends about PAMI (Philamlife), etc. Would appreciate any feedback from you, esp. if you are a financial portfolio manager. What is the current trend and where is it best to invest? (i.e. stocks, mutual funds, etc.). Thanks.

Find a reputable brokerage firm but do more research on what kind of investment you're able to take a risk on. Also, run away if anybody starts to sell you an idea or a product. If you are really interested in investing in stocks, try a mutual fund, the risk is diversified as mutual funds invests in a pool of stocks. Please beware of risky investments. Go to finance.yahoo.com; they have some good articles for general investing.
