Default open an early intervention agency

I am interested in opening an early intervention agency in New York City and/or Westchester County. What is the process to open such an agency?

I am currently a special education teacher who provides ABA therapy to young children with autism. I would like to open an agency to provides pediatric services and autism services
The guiding principals of the agency would be:
- no family will be turned away for lack of money once a family is in the program
- family-centered with family counseling and support services, parent advocacy/training/support, family support with social work and case management
- holistic approach with the following:
- various therapies: sensory, recreational, occupational, and music
- nutrition education with organic whole food cafe and food-allergy-testing
- multilingual approach
- provide quality English and Bilingual evaluations and therapeutic and education services to children ages 0 to 5 years old.

Go to and find your local SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a volunteer SCORE mentor. They will guide you through the process and you can meet with them as many times as you need to.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide and is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SCORE has 364 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 13,000 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business mentors.
