Default will this prevent me from employment

You're innocent of those charges - that's what "not convicted" means.

People get arrested all the time. Most Employers are only interested in Felony Convictions (or any convictions that involve malversation of funds).

But put yourself in an Employer's shoes for two minutes. Should I pick Candidate A, or Candidate B? Both scored well on the tests. Both were personable. Both were qualified. Candidate A has an arrest on her record. See?

If you get a chance to tell your story, tell the truth. You should be fine.

Well you should have told them about your arrest so they see what they can do for you. But now you go up and tell them about your situation because they are the one who handle it. I think you can still get hiring (just saying) but it depend on your luck mostly since they check your background.

Hopefully u get hire and do your job well.

Default will this prevent me from employment

I live in Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania. My sister and I were arrested for Prostitution under 5902(b). I was arrested for being there( waiting on her) and she arrested for the act. We were arrested and the next day, released with a court date.

I went and the charges against me were dropped. The summary, they said, would be a Disorderly Conduct Hazardous/Physical. Which, according to my receipt after court, is the only offense to my name( I was told this can be expunged.)

I recently joined Americorps and they asked me if I had been arrested for...( and showed me a list). I was not convicted for the Prostitution and Instrument of crime. When my FBI clearances came back, it lists those charges and below them states:
Non Conviction/Nolle Processed/Withdrawn.

1. what does this mean?

The lists of Americorps states that I cannot have a Felony(An arrest/Conviction) in prostitution.
The two counts were an M1 and an M3. But both were DROPPED/WITHDRAWN.

2. Does this mean that I can't work for them?

The FBI clearance states: "RECORD EXISTS BUT NO CONVICTIONS WERE SHOWN. THIS DOES NOT PROHIBIT HIRE UNDER THE CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES LAW."

Please explain this to me as simply as possible
I am already hired. As for the specifics, they said only a felony in this matters. But the m1-m3 was dropped completely. I wasn't convicted or anything. and what they asked for wasn't what I was arrested for ( I think).

On my final court papers, It says No conviction/Withdrawn.
and I did messaging them, notifying them, and adding that I wasn't aware that it would show up as it did. and added that I had the documents to support this.
